Position Summary:
The Applications Engineer serves as a key liaison between Sales and Engineering,
providing technical expertise and customer-focused solutions. Also, this position will
manage technical aspects and management of key programs. This position supports the
sales process from inquiry to delivery, translating customer requirements into
manufacturable designs and ensuring the successful execution of programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary technical interface between customers, sales, engineering, and
manufacturing.
• Support sales activities by interpreting RF/microwave specifications, generating
technical proposals, and recommending suitable client products or custom
solutions.
• Manage the technical aspects of key programs, including design reviews,
documentation, and performance verification.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure on-time
delivery and compliance with customer requirements, AS9100 standards, and
customer specifications.
• Provide program management support for major accounts, ensuring milestones,
budgets, and deliverables are met.
• Assist in developing new products, improvements, and configurations based on
customer and market feedback.
• Prepare and present technical presentations, test data, and product
demonstrations to customers, integrators, and OEM partners as needed.
• Review and analyze RF and microwave performance parameters such as insertion
loss, VSWR, phase stability, and shielding effectiveness.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant military and space program requirements,
environmental testing, and qualification standards (MIL-DTL, NASA, IPC, IEC, IEEE, and
other specs).
• Support the development of sales tools, datasheets, and proposal templates in
collaboration with Marketing and Sales.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline
required).
• 3+ years of experience in RF, microwave, or high-frequency coaxial products,
preferably interconnects or passive components.
• Preferred experience in defense, aerospace, or space industries.
• Strong understanding of RF principles, cable assemblies, connectors, and systemlevel
integration. Training is available.
• Familiarity with Military and Space Program requirements, including design
documentation, qualification, and environmental testing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working across
functions and with customers at all technical levels.
• Experience with CAD, SolidWorks, or simulation tools (HFSS, CST, or equivalent) a
plus.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO-9001 standards.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be a U.S. Person.
