Space Program Manager

Description

Space Program Manager
• Work across Engineering, Operations and Sales departments to manage the lifecycle of space orders throughout production
• Craft execution plans that meet customer program requirements including risk management
• Maintain constant understanding of customer program needs such as deliverables, milestones and technical requirements
• Provide weekly status updates on all programs to internal staff as well as communicate with customers as regularly scheduled
• Support technical staff in communication with customers and manage trade-offs related to performance, cost and schedule
• Prepare documentation to present to customers such as MRRs, TRRs, and CDRs as well as other ad-hoc presentations as needed
• Handle and document changes to programs and ensure they are addressed in clients process
• Write and update SCDs for components used on clients products products for space programs
• Work with suppliers and clients supply-chain personnel to ensure OTD and expediting of required components for production of space-products
• Verify completion of Element Evaluation and ensure compliance to customer program requirements
• Evangelize customer program needs and requirements throughout the organization and serve as an expert communicator to internal staff

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field and 6+ years working experience
• Expert utilization of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project
• Ability to stay organized over extended project timelines
• Social proficiency in dealing with customers and fellow team members
• Strong technical writing ability
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15

Preferred Skills and Experience
• Experience within DoD Prime Contractor PMO
• Previous role as IPTL or Subcontracts Manager for spaceflight electronics applications
• Knowledge of testing for space qualification of electrical components and assemblies
• Familiarity with design and development requirements of AS9100
• Passion for the space exploration and associated systems
• Knowledge of Department of Defense and associated community operational concepts
