We are seeking a highly motivated RF Test Technician responsible for testing using vector network analyzers, inspection, RMA evaluations, and providing technical engineering support. This position reports to the QA Manager and will test both production orders and various projects for R&D.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Testing and tuning of RF Coaxial cables to 110GHz
• Calibration and operation of Vector Network Analyzer through 110Ghz
• Interface with engineering regarding evaluation of new designs and troubleshooting using Time Domain Analysis.
• Evaluation of cable assembly electrical performance against specification for insertion loss, VSWR and phase match.
• Inspection duties included evaluation of received cables, receiving inspection of adapters, first piece evaluation, check cable configuration, and solder joint inspection to JSTD -001
• RMA evaluation to include evaluation of cable to customer comment, disposition rework/rebuild of cable, and failure observations
• Work within ISO 9001:2015 environment.
Education/Experience
• A.A.S diploma in Electronics Technology, certificate in an electronics-related major, or equivalent work experience
• 3 years’ experience in an electronics test lab setting
• Experience with calibration and operation of precision test equipment
• Experience with high frequency vector network analyzers (e.g. – Agilent, Anritsu, Rhode & Schwarz)
• LabView programming a plus.
• Mathematics/physics aptitude
• Strong communications skills
• Ability to work in a team environment.
