Job Purpose:

• Design and develop new products and technology to high quality standards and consistent with business strategy and processes. Apply electrical engineering principals in support of new product development.
Responsibilities:

• Support, contribute and promote a safe work environment.
• Develops technology and processes to ensure designs are technologically competitive.
• Technical lead for the development of interconnect solutions.
• Provide electrical engineering design direction and solutions to the product development team
• Create electrical FEA models for RF transmission line and shielding design projects.
• Apply principles of electrical engineering as they pertain to connectors, contact technology and cable design.
• Present experimental results and technical reports at group design review meetings as necessary.
• Interpret customer specifications and translate them into design and/or manufacturing requirements.
• Perform complex processing experiments, and/or lead the projects studies.
• Coordinate the construction of functional and non-functional prototypes with internal and external vendors.
• Provide technical support to organizational stakeholders (Production, Quality, Marketing and Sales).
• Consult with Sales and Marketing in quoting customer requirements and bid preparation.
• Provide electrical engineering technical support and input to the entire organization.
• Participate and contribute to team training, development, mentoring and audits.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with company policies.

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong working knowledge of transmission line theory and RF design
• Experience in computer based finite or boundary element electrical modeling (Ansoft HFSS preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical 3 D modeling (SolidWorks preferred)
• PCB and flex design

Travel %: 0-10%

• Design authority for new and existing configurations.
• Collaborates across multiple sites and geographies.
• Employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit and talk or hear.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Some travel may be required for training and/or other business purposes, including customer and/or supplier visits.

Identified training mandatory for the role to be completed competently.

Key Internal & External Stakeholders & Relationships

• Be able to lead or contribute to cross-functional teams in product development cycle.
• Interface with customers & supply chain during the development cycle and conduct customer visits as necessary.
• Be able to train Internal and External stakeholders on our products and capabilities.
