Production Testing: Performs functions associated with all production operations, including working with engineers in set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework and quality testing on components, assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepares technical reports, summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. J

job Summary

This is a test position where a fundamental knowledge of DC and Radio Frequency (RF) practices are used to tune and troubleshoot the component level microwave receivers, transmitters, and transceivers. The ability to set up test stands for particular tests is required. Assignments are complex, requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues.  Responsible for a wide variety of technical duties to integrate, test, troubleshoot and perform rework on Engineering and Product Development products and projects, as assigned

 Provide technical support in implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting existing and new equipment

 Ensure reliability of equipment and services through various means of monitoring and control systems

 Operate all RF microwave equipment and all related devices  Perform daily, weekly and monthly scheduled (maintenance) tasks and perform necessary interventions

 Conduct investigation where problems are identified

 Recommend product and test process improvements

 Ensure the quality of all work performed

 Compile and record data and test results, ensuring accuracy

 Recommend new methods and procedures, and independently determine the appropriate methods and procedures on new assignments

 Maintain documentation as required for incoming/outgoing material

 May act as team lead

 Build strong peer relationships Required Competencies (Basic knowledge, skills and abilities needed to successfully perform the job)

 Comprehensive knowledge of microwave practices

 Comprehensive knowledge of tuning logic and methods

 Ability to troubleshoot product circuits accurately to component level

 Ability to read and understand assembly drawings, ATPs, and schematics

 Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks concurrently

 Good communication skills

 Problem solving skills

 Ability to complete tasks in a resourceful and effective manner

 Ability to work independently Prerequisites (Minimum education and/or years of work experience for the job)

 High School Diploma or equivalent  Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required

 6 years of related experience
