Use independent judgment and work under minimal supervision to perform a combination of sales, application engineering, marketing and program management activities with emphasis on capturing space market opportunities. Provide technical support across products and is responsible for  marketing and advertising needs for Space products. Act as a liaison between sales, engineering and customers. Participate in formulation of and own the strategic product roadmap for Space products.


Typical Responsibilities:

Promotes Space products to both commercial and military satellites and rockets manufacturers domestically and internationally
Advises Regional Sales Managers regarding Space programs that are in the quotation process with customers in their regions
Generates technical, management and pricing proposals for Space qualified switch and integrated assemblies
Conducts pricing negotiations and design reviews
Creates program plans and project schedules for directing all activities through multi-year programs
Develops product, data and non-recurring engineering task pricing for all space programs and other programs on request
Documents and disseminates key account information to internal stakeholders.
Attends and sets up trade show exhibits
Works with Matrix and Switch Product Sales Manager and provides supplemental applications engineering support for all product lines
Gathers customer requirements and works with Sales and Business Development director to create product roadmap to support future growth
Drives business toward increased value added, integrated RF assemblies


Supervision: Oversees the work of representatives within assigned region(s). Dotted line responsibility for proposals, programs or initiatives

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Four year degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or additional sales and/or program management experience beyond the minimum required
At least five years’ experience in applications engineering, project engineering or program management in support of high dollar programs in the aerospace/defense industry
Excellent customer facing skills in a business development role as a hunter
Experience in the Space industry with satellites, launch vehicles and missiles is highly desirable
Experience with commercial and government aerospace programs is highly desirable
Confident and effective communication skills
Understanding of ITAR compliance
