Business Development Director - Eastern U.S.

Job Description
Responsible for penetrating existing customers and securing new customers. Responsible for providing an increasing pipeline of profitable business aligned with company strategy and product line differentiators. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of markets, customers, programs, and trends to align solutions with customer needs. Develop strategy, business / marketing plan and product roadmap for current and potential new markets to maximize sales and profit and grow the Antenna and Multi-Function RF product lines.

Duties & Responsibilities
Achieve orders budget for assigned territory (North Eastern US)
Work effectively to facilitate all sales opportunity by providing leadership and orchestrating the internal and external resources needed to effectively manage the sales process
Manage third party representatives in assigned territory
Develop differentiated quotes, proposals, and agreements
Develop strategic partnerships with key customers
Provide regular orders forecasts using SalesForce CRM; Maintains CRM data (opportunities, contacts, visit details)
Develop and build an effective new business pipeline and execute on each phase of the sales process
Penetrates existing customers to secure new opportunities
Identify and capture new customers and new opportunities
Regularly visit current and target customers to stay aware of all opportunities, program status, organizational structure, etc. and capture critical information in detailed trip reports
Develop and execute new business regional capture plans
Attend tradeshows and exhibitions to support Military marketing communication plan
Optimize value proposition to customer – product offerings, revenue model, pricing
Maintain market intelligence on market size, market drivers, competitors, customers and technology trends
Maintain knowledge of company products, capabilities and differentiators
Obtain customer roadmap information and continually uses Voice-Of-Customer (VOC) techniques to align our roadmaps with those of our customers
Support the development of strategic plan
Provide guidance to maximize Pwin for all identified opportunities
Provide input for IR&D investments based on customer needs
Assist in win strategy and winning proposal development
Identify potential acquisition targets and support any required business case analysis
Develop business case and coordinates bid/no-bid process for new identified opportunities as applicable
Coordinate interaction between customers and company support staff as applicable
Comply with all Company policies and procedures
Comply with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations
Other duties as required

Knowledge / Expertise in Airborne Antenna and RF/Microwave Sub-System solutions

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant discipline is required.


Minimum of ten (10) years of business development, sales, and marketing experience in complex military and commercial aerospace and defense products
Experience with RF/microwave products is strongly preferred
Travel: Up to 75% required at times.


Security: U.S. Person required (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident)
