Job Summary/Objectives:
The Sales & Business Development Engineer role is responsible for creating and executing a winning strategy to drive profitable sales growth. The individual will contribute to and support clients development of strategic sales plans. The candidate will develop clear action plans to grow Clients profitable sales, with both new and existing customers. The Sales/BD Engineer candidate will positively influence our sales efforts through market research, customer engagement analysis, trade show support, managing manufacturers’ representatives/Resellers, and technology direction. The Sales/BD Engineer candidate will identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities for the Clients team in pursuit of Year over Year Growth initiatives. This roll requires creativity, demonstrated leadership skills and a strong knowledge of RF Microwave products, technology, and application awareness. The Sales/BD Engineer candidate will work closely with the client leadership team, as well as our Parent company, in pursuit of our mutual growth goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Use opportunity identification and business capture best practices to identify, qualify and develop revenue opportunities related to key Aerospace and Defense Industry and other opportunities and pursuits related to parent company and client product lines.
Initiate, arrange, hold, and support Meetings with Customers.
Strong knowledge and usage of Sales Force as the tool for communication, identification, and capture strategy.
Develop and execute wining strategies to bring innovative solutions to customers.
Act as a Capture Team Manager or be part of a capture team to support driving key new business plans for Client Business Unit.
Strong customer relationship generation 'voice of the customer' and encourage team behaviors that focus on adding value and delivering customer benefits.
Maintain revenue pipeline health to exceed order intake targets to support revenue generation for the Client business unit.
Drive quality and timely responses of customer deliverables (e.g., white papers, RFIs, RFPs).
Own pursuits through contract negotiation and acceptance to Program hand-off.
Provide inputs to support internal business strategy development, market analysis, long-range growth plans, and product and technology roadmaps for new products.
Strong interpersonal skills (communication, motivation, team working).
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Other Aspects of the Position:
Integrate with the Client team to ensure the company is making decisions in the best long-term view of our customers.
Maintain accurate Sales Force database to support monthly and quarterly business reviews.
Willing to travel up to 50%.

Requirements
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
U.S. Person
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or similar, advanced degree desirable
Minimum 10 years sales experience in RF industry, preferably experience working with US Department of Defense prime contractors
