Summary
The Product Manager is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies for client . This person works closely with engineering, operations, strategic sourcing and Sales to define, develop, implement and maintain the value proposition around the product lines of client. Incorporating VOC, competitive threats, market gap analysis to meet customer expectations. Must have extensive RF cable assembly and connector experience targeted to the Military, Medical, Communications, T&M and Space applications. The SPM will report to the Director, Sales & Marketing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (other duties may be assigned):
• Develops and implements new product roadmap supported through voice of customer (VOC), competitive gap analysis and market research.
• Coordinates with Development Engineering to maintain / upgrade current product offering and to develop new products to meet emerging trends in markets served.
• Provides information for executive management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts, technology road maps, special reports and analyses, including phase gate presentations and business cases for new products.
• Create and manage the product line P&L, with a focus on maximizing revenue, profit, and market share.
• Works with Supply Chain, Operations and design engineering to identify and implement cost reduction projects to improve product line profitability and market pricing position.
• Takes ownership and manages all elements of the product development process, including defining product specification, target market/application, value sell, price position and competitive awareness. Champion research and analysis required for new product development process including all applicable project deliverables and Phase Gate requirements.
• Develop growth strategy with revenue targets for current portfolio of products as well as rationalize current product portfolio. Manage the product life cycle and the product review process to rationalize unprofitable products.
• Coordinates with Development Engineering to maintain / upgrade current product offering and to develop new products to meet new business opportunities.
• Develops and maintains product marketing collateral including brochures, presentations, website, white papers, case studies, and other materials for use by the sales channels.
• Develop materials and conduct training to educate  sales team, sales representatives, distributors and customers. Participate in trade shows, industry conferences, and sales meetings to assure proper knowledge of products and applications
• Travel 30%.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 5 to 10 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Financial analysis experience to include an understanding of cost structures and basic knowledge of cost accounting principals.
• Project management attributes of effective communication, organization, planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk identification, follow-up, decision making, change control, and achieving results.
• 5 to 10 years of technical product management experience in the Electronics industry; RF/MW industry experience preferred.
• Business Acumen - Understands business implications of decisions.
• Ethics - Treats people with respect; works with integrity and ethically; upholds organizational values.
• Organizational Support - Follows policies and procedures; supports organization’s goals and values.
