POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Marketing director is responsible for companies marketing and communications strategies, as well as overall branding and image. The role is accountable for annual marketing plans, creating a calendar of campaigns and events, setting the marketing budget and analyzing the market and the competitive landscape. The Director of Marketing reports to the Vice President of RF & Microwave Products with responsibilities to develop the marketing department to a sustainable, competitive advantage in current and newly defined market spaces. This position will drive organic growth, create new customer value and will manage clients assets to promote our brands. This will include managing current portfolios, development of new products, defining the go-to market strategy, market research, communication and other related functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (functions):

This Director must be able to work professionally with direct reports, employees, customers, management, Corp and other related individuals or professional groups.

• Develop and implement a digital marketing/social media strategy across all digital platforms including, but not limited to the company website, social media outlets, and content for advertising portals

• Connect digital to all other aspects of the customer experience and drive growth opportunities with prospective customers

• Develop digital solutions to foster real-time collaboration with our customers • Responsible for customer experience by developing programs to improve customer intimacy and elevating the customer experience

• Provide leadership by developing, communicating and executing a 3-year strategic plan that is customer focused, solution driven, dedicated to profitable growth and market expansion, aligned with organizational goals

• Work closely with product management to help define product features, strategy and roadmaps Maintain marketing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

• Maintain marketing staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results

• Determines and manage budgets, policies and practices pertinent to marketing operations on a long and short-term basis for executive management approval

• Keep informed on national and international business and economic conditions, competitive products and other conditions that may affect business levels

• Develop and implement digital marketing campaign to acquire more customers and deliver one-to-one dialogue

• Explore marketing automation

• Ensure accuracy and continuity in all aspects of brand image in media, literature, videos, meetings and at trade shows

• Responsible for assisting in research and identification of new opportunities for increased corporate visibility and lead development utilizing print, web, and social media as a means for maximizing promotion of product, elevating brand visibility, brand equity and mind share

• Work with new business development team and sales teams on brand initiatives

• Manage agency providers, consultants, freelancers and other suppliers, including contract negotiation and management

• Oversee the operation of a company’s website or email marketing program and lead the digital metric (analytics) gathering process while ensuring insights are understood and analyzed.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or Media Relations or equivalent experience

• MBA preferred • Proven leadership skills with demonstrated results • 7 years’ experience in Marketing Communications or a Marketing-related role in a hi-tech manufacturing organization

• 3 years’ experience in managing marketing communications teams or marketing related groups

• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Knowledge of finance, especially expense management and profit and loss statements, is desirable

• Experience in, but not limited to the following: Marketing Communications, Project Management, Vendor Management, Social Media/Website Coordination, Media Relations, Trade Show and Events, Public Relations, Global Marketing Programs, Copywriting, Patents, Print and Electronic Communications, Photography and Video, and Adobe and Graphics arts are a plus.
