A brand leader in RF amplifier and component machining require a highly experienced Quality Control Inspector with at least 5 years in electronics assembly. A knowledge of ISO 9000 procedures and processes is also required. Industry background may be military and telecommunications amplifiers. Systems experience would be a definite plus.
The company was established 20 years ago and recently purchased by a Private Equity group that is committed to grow the company and supporting its personnel to succeed.
As a result of winning several key military and defense contracts, the company is seeking and experienced Quality Control Inspector to inspect raw materials, in-line processes and finished products in a detailed and highly productive manner.
In addition to primary inspection activities the inspector will also maintain and revise inspection documentation as required and communicate with co-workers to resolve quality related issues. Only candidates from electronics assembly industry will be considered for this role.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform incoming and in process inspection of PCB and mechanical parts
- Perform FA Inspection.
- Perform final inspection prior to shipment of product in accordance with written procedures and/or customer documentation. Verification of all dimensional, mechanical, electrical and drawing requirements.
- Work with supervision to define appropriate inspection and acceptance criteria.
- Perform other QC and related activities as assigned.
- Use your experience to facilitate and improve the QA/QC processes in the company
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 yrs previous experience in electronics assembly.
- Working knowledge and preferable experience of working to IPC-A-610 standard
- Demonstrate ability with the use of hand measurement tools and gauges (caliper, micrometer, thread gauges).
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Computer skills required
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
- Positive attitude a must
