Director, Sales & Marketing (Mar 99 to Present)

 

·   Responsible for sales and marketing of all the companies  RF Components commercial sales with specific emphasis on Handset PAMs and WLAN PA’s. Opened additional markets in Asia – Taiwan, Singapore and China – and reinvigorated our sales efforts in Japan. Successfully negotiated our first production HBT PAM contract and established relationship with key Asian handset supplier – Samsung, Curitel/Pantech, Motorola, LGIC, Telson, Panasonic, Benq and others. 

 

·   Successfully negotiated the first production HBT PA contracts with Korean handset manufactures.

 

·   Instrumental at developing customers for WLAN PAM in both 802.11a and 802.11b and at expanded our business at Cisco.

 

·   Lead our marketing and marketing communications campaign. Responsible for trade shows and press relationships with all major press outlets.

 

·   Successfully hired Applications Engineering team located in Korea to support handset and WLAN product lines.

·                    Responsible for the sales of  RF Components product lines. Including Handset (PA’s, up and down converters, driver amplifiers), mmW MMICs, up to 42 Ghz, and mmW Modules, Space qualified components and sub-assemblies, GaAs Foundry Services and Base Station components. Hired and managed a staff Regional Sales Managers located in Andover, Korea, California and Germany, Sales Administrators, clerical staff and manufactures representatives. Personally responsible for  RF Components largest customer – Motorola. Positioned  RF Components to be design in and win the next two follow on handset designs.

 

·                    Part of the team that won  first major mmW module development and production program. This system is presently in development. Sales in CY00 will exceed $15 M.

 

·                    Provide monthly and annual GOR and Sale forecast. FY99 GOR forecast exceeds $ 80 M, FY00 exceeds $120 M. Provide significant input to 5-year plans for GOR and new product development.

 

·                    An active participant in companies  RF Components reorganization and ’s  Sigma programs. A member of several teams to redesign companies RF Components operating systems and organization. Organized our advertising, trade show, literature and web site.

 

Eastern Regional Sales Manager (Aug. 97 to Aug. 98)

 

· Responsible for the sales of  companies  products in the Eastern United States, Canada, Europe and the Middle East. Our focus is on cellular telephone handset manufactures. Specifically Motorola, Ericsson and Nokia. Successfully, penetrated and won the largest handset pHEMT PA contracts in companies  history. Motorola’s CDMA Digital Cellular StarTAC. Began and responsible for continued expansion of companies wireless business with Motorola not only in the CDMA product area but also TDMA and GSM.

 

· Successfully, penetrated Ericsson and began the development of pHEMT power amplifiers for Ericsson’s handsets.

Regional Manager (East)

 

·                    Litton Solid State finished FY1996 at $29.6 M, a record year. The eastern United States contribution to this was $14.0 M.

 

·                    Responsible for the Sales and Marketing of Litton Solid State’s products which include GaAs MMICs, MESFET and pHEMT FETs, GaAs IMPATT and GaAs and InP Gunn Diodes throughout the Eastern United States and Canada. Products include GaAs Foundry Services, EPI growth and custom GaAs MMIC design services. Microwave and mmW amplifiers, oscillators including VCOs, DROs, cavity oscillators. PIN diodes based control components including switches, attenuators and subassemblies. YIG oscillators, filters and subassemblies. Multifunction assemblies including mmW radio frond ends (transceivers), TWT linearizers, up/down converters and packaged components for commercial applications. Markets include military (EW, Radar, Missile and Communications), Commercial (SATCOM, VSAT, IRIDIUM, LMDS, PCN/PCS and wireless applications) and Consumer (wireless, PCN/PCS, LMDS, radar detectors, cellular and others)

 

·                    During my tenure I have been responsible for hiring and continued management of Litton Solid State’s manufactures rep organization in the Eastern United States, key customer contact at all levels of management, program management, engineering, quality and procurement. Monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasting and market analysis – Military/Hi-Rel and Commercial portions of the 1 and 5 year plans and expense budgets. Also, I support Group and Corporate assignment and other Litton Divisions (Litton Laser Systems, Litton PolyScientific, Litton ATD, etc.) as required.


 

Oct. 85 to Mar. 91: M/A COM, Inc., ANZAC Division, Burlington, MA

 

Regional Sales Manager (East), ANZAC (10/88 to 03/91)

 

·         Responsible for the sale of the ANZAC Divisions products which include Sub-Assemblies, Amplifiers (Si bi-polar, GaAs FET and MMIC), Mixers, Switches (PIN diode and GaAs MMIC), Power Dividers and other passive products in the Eastern United States. Managed a staff of 5. Responsible for monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasts portions of the 1 and 5 year plans and budgets. Major programs include AMRAAM, Sparrow, Patriot, F-16, AUTOPLEX II, and other military and commercial programs. Was ANZAC's AT&T Account Manager for its entrance into the Cellular Telephone basestation business.

·         Reporting to the Vice President of the Space Center. Responsible for the growth of the Space Center from a single program, to an organization that supports many customers on over 10 different programs. Increased sales from $ 2.15 M to over $ 10.0 M in FY88. Developed interest in GaAs MMICs in spacecraft use.

 

Business Development, Electronics & Instruments Group (10/86 to 09/87

 

·         Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, responsible for sales and marketing of the Adams Russell Semiconductor Center and the Adams Russell Space Center. Developed sales plans and strategy for the Semiconductor Center. Helped position the Semiconductor Center to win a large classified foundry contract. Responsible for the 1 and 5 year marketing plans. Developed new literature, advertising and trade show materials. Instrumental in GaAsLine newsletter publication.

 

·         Responsible for the Space Center’s involvement in at least 5 new programs with new customers. Helped develop the marketing strategy, booking forecast for the Space Center. Developed new trade show materials.

 

Eastern Regional Sales Manager, ANZAC Division (10/85 to 09/86)

 

·         Responsible for sales of the ANZAC Division products, which included Amplifiers, Mixers, Switches, Power Dividers and Hybrids in the Eastern, United States.
