Director, RFIC Design Engineering
Location; San Diego
What Do You Need To Qualify For This Position?
Viable candidates for this job absolutely MUST possess a minimum of 7 years related experience with wireless communications product design. It is vital that the individual have current hands-on RF, analog, or mixed signal IC design engineering experience.
. US citizenship or permanent residency (a.k.a. “Green Card”) required.
· MSEE required, PhDEE preferred.
· Experience in commercial/consumer wireless product development required.
· Experience in CMOS or BiCMOS design implementing RF front ends, synthesizers, or ADCs/DACs is required.
· Experience in utilizing analog and mixed-signal simulation tools (such as Spectre, and other Cadence tools) is required.
· Design experience with low supply voltages (1.8V and lower) and low current implementations is highly desirable.
· Experience leading a group of design and layout engineers is a plus.
· Knowledge of sigma-delta modulators (both theory, and circuit implementation) is a plus.
· Knowledge of frequency synthesizers (both theory, and circuit implementation) is a plus.
· Knowledge or experience with digital radio architectures a plus.
· Familiarity with design challenges in scaled CMOS technologies (0.18um and below), such as flicker noise, etc., a plus.
Here are your Job Duties:
This position involves hands-on management and leadership of a IC design group developing RF/analog/mixed-mode integrated circuits for wireless applications. You will also contribute to design and architecture tasks.
If hired, you:
· Will work in the development of Bluetooth, UWB, and 802.11 design solutions.
· Be based and work out of our San Diego, CA office.
· Will manage a small group of fellow IC design and layout engineers.
. Will perform IC design work as well as manage.
. Will interact with other company departments and executive management.
